July 12th, 2010- Sleeping Bag
- Pillow
- Clothes for the weekend
- Sneakers
- Halloween Costume
- Bathing Suit/ Clothes for water activities
- Dress for the outdoor meeting
- Toiletries (Shampoo, Conditioner, Toothbrush, Etc.)
- Bug Spray/Sunscreen
- Flashlight/Batteries
- Cabin Decorations
- Candy for Trick or Treating
- Snacks for Cabins
- Medicine if you need it. (Your Junior Deputy must know about it and it must be on your permission slip.)
Cell Phones (especially Verizon) do not get good reception at the camp. If it isn’t absolutely necessary, don’t bring it. And if you do need it, bring your charger. Money will not be needed for anything. It would be a good idea not to bring anything valuble. We will be camping in the woods.
District Campout
July 12th, 2010Attention Members and Supervisors of the Erie-Chautauqua District!
The Erie-Chautauqua District Campout at Camp DeMolay is just around the corner! We hope everyone is excited! We have a lot in store for an incredibly fun filled weekend. The campout will be July 30, 31 and August 1, 2010, will be Halloween themed and include a cabin decorating contest, trick or treating between cabins, and much more. The cost of the weekend will be $20 per girl and money and permission slips will be due by July 24, 2010.
In order for our Halloween theme to really show, we are asking the girls to bring supplies to decorate your cabin, as well as a costume and candy for trick or treating. Cabins can be decorated inside and out and will be judged on creativity, effort, and “scare factor”. Costumes can be whatever the girls like. They do not necessarily need to be scary but should reflect the girl’s creativity and personality.
We will also be holding an outdoor meeting. We would like to invite Charity Chapter DeMolay and perform the old Hexagon Degree, however, if no DeMolays attend we will have a different program for the meeting. Dress code for the meeting will be knee length summer dresses or skirts and tops. White gowns will not be needed.
Enclosed is a copy of the itinerary for the weekend, permission slips, and a complete packing list. We hope to see registrations soon and cannot wait for this event!
